Seeing the World with Different Eyes ~ About Me & My Work
I’ve always been interested in photography, however it wasn’t until moving to North East England in 2005 I started to develop a passion for the land and coast and the creatures that live here.
So, in 2007 I bought my first camera, since then photography has become a big part of my life. I have taught myself by making lots of mistakes and learning from most of them.
My strongest inspiration lies out at the coast, with dreamy seascapes and lonely shorelines being first choice material. Recently I have been traveling further afield to Ireland, USA,Scandinavia, Iceland, I am always interested in exploring new lands and places to keep my inspiration freely flowing.
You will mainly find me taking photographs at dusk or dawn when the light is at its best. I always try and get to the right place at the right time but most of the time life gets in the way so things don't always work out, it's because of this I go back time & time again until the elements come together in harmony.
I wouldn't call myself a landscape photographer, I am as happy with people as I am with animals or sweeping vistas. I regularly document many beautiful things in life anything from weddings to theatre to still life.
